What to Expect
Let the planting develop.
An annual with white spires, typically 24–40 inches tall. Spring-to-summer flowers depend on climate and sowing date; strong summer heat can shorten the display.
Rocket White Larkspur · Delphinium ajacis
A little height. A lot of white.
Give the white garden a little lift. Rocket White Larkspur sends elegant white flower spires above finely divided foliage, adding the vertical rhythm that makes a border feel layered. Grow it beside lower flowers, along a cottage-garden path, or for graceful stems to use fresh or dried. This is a cool-season annual, so plan the sowing around cool soil and a gentle start.

How to Plant
Before broadcasting, thoroughly mix this individual seed with dry sand, vermiculite, or another clean, dry carrier. A carrier is strongly recommended for most individual species and is especially important for small or lightweight seed. Direct sow 1/4 inch deep; seeds need darkness for germination. Cool soil around 55°F favors sprouting; a short refrigerator pre-chill can help spring sowings. Keep moderately moist and well drained. Thin for airflow and support stems in wind. All parts, including seed, are poisonous if swallowed; keep away from children, pets, and grazing animals.
