Bright lemon fragrance, fresh green foliage, and a place in your warm-season herb garden.
Lemon Basil brings a fresh citrus scent to a familiar garden favorite. Its green leaves make a lively addition to an herb bed, sunny container, or botanical border; small pale flowers appear if stems are allowed to bloom. Grow it for fresh foliage and fragrance, and let a few plants flower for visiting bees. This is the lemon basil ordered for Gin & Chartreuse, a tender annual that pairs a sunny garden mood with practical kitchen-garden appeal.

How to Plant
Before broadcasting, thoroughly mix this individual seed with dry sand, vermiculite, or another clean, dry carrier. A carrier is strongly recommended for most individual species and is especially important for small or lightweight seed. Sow about ¼ inch deep in well-drained soil. Thin to roughly 6–12 inches apart. Give sun, consistent moisture, and protection from cold; afternoon shade can help in very hot southern gardens. Pinch growing tips once plants are established to encourage branching.
