How to Plant
Before broadcasting, thoroughly mix this individual seed with dry sand, vermiculite, or another clean, dry carrier. A carrier is strongly recommended for most individual species and is especially important for small or lightweight seed. Sow about 1/8 inch deep and keep lightly moist through germination. Grow in full sun and light, well-drained soil; space plants about 9–12 inches apart. For arrangements, harvest heads while still pale green and before pollen is shed to reduce shattering.
