How to Plant
Before broadcasting, thoroughly mix this individual seed with dry sand, vermiculite, or another clean, dry carrier. A carrier is strongly recommended for most individual species and is especially important for small or lightweight seed. Surface sow; press into moist seed-starting mix and leave uncovered for light. Keep the surface evenly moist during germination, without waterlogging. Harden seedlings gradually before planting outdoors in full sun and well-drained soil. Space about 12 inches apart. Cut back spent spikes for a tidier display.
